That’s quite the title; we might have to take turns with the war stories then. I feel like war on Asgard and war here would be two different worlds.

I feel like we should just have a big cookout to introduce you guys to all of Midgard’s finest. I have been itching to see who would win that hotdog eating contest someone mentioned a while back. And yes, coffee deserves whatever praise Thor gave it and then some.

I was under the impression that humans kept dogs as companion animals.

Before the Chitauri things were fairly uneventful, for me anyway, that is unless you wanna go way back and let me bore you with stories about the war.

A popsicle is juice frozen onto a stick so that kids can eat it during the summer. It’s kind of Tony’s joke to call me Capsicle because of the time I spent on ice up north.

I assure you, Steven, stories of war are never boring to me. In Asgard I am oft heralded as the goddess of war. It is a title I feel I’ve earned with due diligence.

These popsicles sound delightful. I look forward to sampling the fare of Midgard. Thor also spoke highly of coffee. I trust you’re familiar with that beverage as well?

Sometimes people forget that I haven’t actually lived for as long as I’ve been alive, you know. You don’t get much life experience from being a popsicle, but everyone of your kind have been awake and learning for centuries; the things you must know!

I am, perhaps, not the most learned of my kind, but I have seen and done many things in my time, and been many places. The cosmos is full of beauty and terror beyond the scope of what can be found on Midgard.

You will have to tell me more of your life during our pizza date. Thor spoke mainly on your campaign against the Chitauri, but not much before. What is a popsicle?

I’ve always wondered why your realm didn’t take the technology route. By American standards most of what you do seems rather old-fashioned, but I’ve heard that your science is bounds ahead of ours. It’s just a bit odd

Our technology merely manifests itself in different ways. From what I’ve gathered of your technology, I suppose part of it has to do with the fact that we are immortal and humans are not.

A human may live… maybe a hundred years? To my people, a century is a trifle. We needn’t concern ourselves with much of what humans have developed for the sake of speed and convenience by simple virtue of the fact that we live so much longer.

Most stories are better in person. I think that’s something we’ve lost over the years, now you just send a text and it loses a lot of the excitement

In Asgard, we mostly communicate in person, or send written missives. We do not ‘text.’ It is a fascinating bit of technology, though. Your people have come quite far in the last thousand years.

It’s true; Thor often exaggerates, especially when mead is involved. You shall have to regale me with tales of your daring exploits, then, so I know I am not being misled. Still, Thor would not have spoken such high praise of his human companions were it unmerited.

What wyrms lack in claws they make up for in the way of teeth. So very many teeth…

A wyrm is a type of dragon, limbless save for its wings. They are not so dangerous as certain other breeds, and less so when they are young.

Fumigating: when a house gets bugs they put a tent over it and fill the house with fumes to kill the roaches or termites or whatever. The point of the thing was that everyone has to evacuate where ever is being fumigated, not that Asgard has pests.

Ah, I understand. Believe me when I say Asgard has pests of its own.

Though they are not usually a problem, and can be quite good to hunt for sport. I recall an infestation of juvenile wrym when I was a warrior in training. Let us say that they make excellent target practice.

Apart from the Valkyries themselves? No, we do not have female warriors as a rule. Most women in Asgard train in the ways of magic, but I had no desire to pursue that path. I’m better by far at wielding blades than casting spells.

Certainly. I suppose that people—whether on Asgard or Midgard—have always felt the desire to criticize those who deviate from what they believe is the norm. Though I have met with much disparagement for my desire to train in the way of the warrior, I determined at an early age that the estimation of naysayers would hold no bearing on how I lived my life. My friends have always supported me, and theirs are the only opinions I value.
